Position: Child Mental Health Worker
Status: 40 Hours a Week
Benefits: Excellent Benefits Included
Salary: $21+ DOE

The child mental health worker reports directly to the program manager and receives supervision from the clinical supervisor. He/she participates on the integrated treatment team and is primarily responsible for providing screening, assessment, and therapeutic interventions for clients' children with developmental or behavioral needs. Works closely with mothers to support goals and plans for their children. Works with the child care specialist to implement Incredible Years and provide age-appropriate activities for children. Also initiates appropriate and timely interventions and provides therapy groups, individual counseling, parenting classes, educational workshops, crisis intervention, family sessions, recovery services, and appropriate community referrals, as needed.

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience: Must be California-licensed MFT, LCSW, Psychologist, or associated license-eligible status and registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology. Registered interns must participate in supervision, and licenses must be in good standing and clear of disciplinary actions for a minimum of three years at the date of hire. Past experience should demonstrate at least one year providing co-occurring services; experience identifying and meeting developmental and behavioral needs in children; success in providing age-appropriate activities and interventions; and strong knowledge of the needs of pregnant and parenting females and the systems that serve them. Must comply with all agency and contract requirements related to trainings, public health, certifications, reporting, etc. Bilingual proficiency preferred.
