Part-Time Positions available for SUD/AOD Interns-not to exceed 28 hours.
Opportunity to gain first-hand experience working with individuals in substance use disorder/co-occurring mental health issues in a residential setting. Clients may be at risk for HIV or living with HIV. Ideal for beginning counseling practicum students. Understanding of the LGBTQ community preferred but not necessary.
Swing Shift ( 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) Duties will include:
Observes and participates in supervised individual and group counseling, crisis intervention and consultation. Provides assessments and intakes when necessary. Compiles and files client documentation. Transports clients if required. Other related tasks that are part of the agency’s operation.
Night Shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Duties will include:
Awake night counselors work overnight and must be able to stay awake during their shifts. The main function of the overnight staff position is to ensure that all residents are accounted for while they sleep and to address any concerns that may arise during that time period. Interact with clients in case of crisis intervention. Compiles and files client documentation. Transports clients if required. Other related tasks that are part of the agency’s operation. Works in coordination with security guard.
