Provide direct and indirect services to staff and clients, and oversee the programming needs of the Correctional Health Services Program.
Oversee Intake screenings and scheduling of intakes at Detention Facility and discuss during Case Dispositions for enrollment into program.
Oversee and monitor programs productivity, Units of Service on a monthly basis.
Provide supervision to staff for proficiency in completing all Center and DHS requiried paperwork.
Lead/facilitate rotation of staff meetings, staff dispositions, other meetings, or other meetings as needed or designated by Program Manager.
Assist with monthly QI with program staff and insure for maintenance of program specific charts.
Attend community meetings as designated by program mission, DHS, SAPC or other LASD/Center/Community meetings as assigned.
Other tasks as assigned by Program Manager and/or Director of Re Entry and Substance Use Services.
Bachelors’ Degree in relevant field with current State Certification as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor and in good standing with certifying board. Alcohol and Drug Counselor Supervisor Certification preferred.
Minimum of three years’ experience in substance abuse and working with persons with a forensic background and minimum of two years in supervision experience. Knowledge of DSM-5 required.
Ability to work with multi-ethnic, multi-cultural clients in their environment.
Must maintain current status as a certified professional under CA state law.
Must pass Department of Justice (DOJ) fingerprint and background clearance.
Must have a valid California Driver License in good standing and personal, valid insurance. Must be insurable by the Center’s auto insurance.
Must successfully pass the Los Angeles County Sherriff’s Department background application and receive clearance to participate in in custody services at Pitchess Detention Center from LASD and/or DHS.
