The Mental Health Director is to oversee the Specialty Mental health Services to Adolescent Residential clients with clinically qualified personnel and practices, as well as general quality clinical programming. In addition, to attract talent, develop current clinicians, and develop programming that aligns with internal and external regulations.

  • Works closely with the Clinical Supervisor of the Residential clinicians who manage clinical crises.
  • Works closely with the Residential Program Director to coordinate program support for quality clinical services delivery
  • Includes supporting the needs of the Group Home Administrators, and receiving their support for quality clinical service delivery
  • Manages team of Social Workers, Addiction Counselor for Residential Services (and contract Clinicians as needed)
  • Sets clinical standards in Residential program according to CARF, DMC, CCL/STRTP, Medic-Cal, EBP’s
  • Primarily responsible for high quality clinical performance and records of direct reports, overseeing the pre-admission, admission, and discharge flow of client care
  • Oversee provision of services, all client access to MH services, and continuity of care transitions
  • Signs, co-sign all Treatment Plans, Assessments, ALOC’s, as Mental Health Head of Service
  • Ensures monthly consultation with identified LPHA, when designated, making MH diagnosis of clients in Residential treatment
  • Ensures program activities reflect reasonable and prudent parenting standards with GHA’s
  • In the case of an Emergency Placement, completes or co-signs assessment to confirm appropriate placement level of care within 72 hours of emergency placement, or oversee designee
  • Provides performance feedback to Residential Program Director, or others, as appropriate
  • Directs regular clinical staff meetings

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in mental health and/or substance abuse and Residential clinical treatment
  • Knowledge of CARF standards required
  • Licensed MFT/MSW/PhD required
  • NPI registered upon hire
  • Clean DMV record, with no more than one point if under 25 years of age, or no more than two points if over 25 years of age
