The Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Counselor is responsible for the delivery of substance abuse treatment activities to the clients in the program as well as case management services. The CADC shall have general knowledge of alcohol and/or drug related problems and the recovery and treatment process. Additionally, the CADC shall assist the participant with the development of social support systems that promote the process of recovery.
The Certified Alcohol and other Drug Counselor duties shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:
To create and develop safe environments that promotes health and positive life-styles free from alcohol and other drugs. To help create and re-unite healthy families by alleviating and minimizing the damaging effects of alcohol, other drugs, and mental health related problems.
